The
celebration
of
the
Solemnity
of St. John
on Sunday,
21st
June 2009,
at Blessed Gérard’s Care Centre
Mass was supported by the beautiful voices of St Anthony’s Parish Choir.
The Brotherhood of Blessed Gérard medals were blessed by Fr A. Mpanza.
New members then received their Brotherhood of Blessed Gérard medals from Dr
Thabethe and Mrs Thabethe.
This was followed by Fr A. Mpanza blessing the 4 rooms of the new convent,
as well as our new Home Care Vehicle (HCV2).
We had a full church of about 400 members, children and visitors attending mass.
After mass, our choir put on an enthusiastic show.
This was followed by the St Anthony’s Parish Choir.
Our guests, members and children were seated in the hall on the second floor.
Our hard working catering staff served up a wonderful beef stew, rice and salad
to +400 people.
Ice cream and fruit salad was served as dessert, which was very popular with our
children.
It was a wonderful day which was enjoyed by everyone.
A very special thank you to
